Mission of the Center

The mission of the Basic Research Center on Molecular and Cell Biology of Drug Addiction (MCBDA) is to develop treatments for drug addiction by understanding the mechanisms of drugs' actions via basic research.

Organization

MCBDA consists of an International Advisory Board to oversee and advise on the progress of the Center, a Research Council to coordinate all the scholarly activities of the Center and eight Scientific Components.

Activities

MCBDA sponsors three to six seminars per year, as well as a biennial symposium to focus on the research advances in the molecular and cell biology of drug addiction. In addition, the center offers funding opportunities and resources for drug addiction research.
